High-quality carbon steel profiles(I-beam&H-beam) usually have the following characteristics:
- The surface is free of scars or other impurities, and there must be no cracks.
- The cross-section cannot have pores, delamination, or cracks.
- The material must be free of non-metallic impurities or scrap metal impurities.
I-beam and H-beam are common types of steel widely used in construction, bridges, machinery manufacturing and other fields.
We can customize various H-beams and I-beams according to your requirements.

Difference Between H-beam and I-beam
The difference in the shape between retaining wall H beams and I beams may be subtle, but it is there.H-beam is a structural beam made of rolled steel. It is incredibly strong, and they get their name because the cross section resembles a capital H. Compared to an I beam, the H beam consists of longer flanges and a thicker centre web. The flanges on an I beam are tapered.
One of the main differences between I-beam and H-beam lies in their shape and applications. I-beam, due to its thin edges and relatively light weight, is easy to weld and assemble, and is often used for wall columns, beams, purlins, etc. in building structures. On the other hand, H-beam, with its thick edges and heavier weight, has strong bearing capacity, good stability, and excellent seismic performance, making it suitable for bridges, supports, retaining walls, steel structure buildings, and other structural components.
Apart from differences in shape and applications, there are also some material and manufacturing standard differences between I-beam and H-beam. Generally speaking, H-beam is made of higher-quality materials, commonly using Q235, Q345, Q420, etc., while the main material of I-beam is Q235B.
Advantages of Hegang Steel Profiles
Long service time
Its impact resistance and wear resistance are stronger than other material substitutes, so its use time is longer
Light weight
H-beam and I-beam steel has the strength and load-bearing capacity of other profiles light. During construction, lighter handling helps to save time.
Stable performance
H-beam and I-beam steel also has the characteristics of insulation, good magnetic permeability, fire retardant, insulation and heat insulation
Designability
H-beam and I-beam is easy to cut, weld, and can be adjusted according to your own needs Length of section steel
